As you're on this website I assume you are fascinated with Astrology !! Whether reading your “horoscope” online or in the newspaper, or delving deep into the massive amount of information on the subject – are you still wanting more ? It’s very easy these days to get hold of “charts” or “horoscopes” – a mathematical snapshot of the planets in signs at the time of your birth. They can be easily generated – usually for free – using an app on your mobile device. But interpretation – now the journey begins !!
This course aims to give you a grounding in being able to interpret your own and friends’ birth “snapshots” from the “inside out”, primarily using an approach pioneered by Bruno Huber – a Swiss psychotherapist - with his wife Louise - and in conjunction with Roberto Assagioli’s principles of Psychosynthesis. The course offers a holistic approach that integrates traditional astrological components with psychological dimensions enabling students to create a comprehensive and psychologically nuanced interpretation of a birth chart. Whilst it offers five discreet sessions which can stand alone, ideally, students should look at attending all five sessions in order, especially where they are either new to Astrology or new to this approach. If a particular date for a session is inconvenient for a number of students, this can be reviewed and changed with everyone’s agreement. The course is designed to be as flexible as the approach !!
Session 1 – Introduction / The Planets - Saturday 20th October 2025
This will include a general introduction to Astrology and look at some of it’s history and early beginnings. Astrology pre-dates the deluge of wellbeing and self help advice currently available by centuries and, along with the Christian church (which often tried to supress it), was one of the main sources of mental health advice for many years.
As with all sessions, this will be experiential as well as informative and allow students to really experience the planets using props such as cloaks in the appropriate planetary colour. The planets represent our psychological drives and can be likened to “sub personalities” using Assagioli’s Psychosynthesis model.

Session 2 – The Signs -
Saturday 22nd November 2025
Part of the journey of the planets is through the various signs of the Zodiac based upon 12 constellations. The signs are said to represent inherited qualities and again, students will be able to experience how planets have to adapt and change their native energies by their position in the signs. We will be using guided meditation to feel how that might be for someone, particularly in the case of their Sun and Moon Signs.
You will also have the chance to get creative by crafting your own Moon Mask to take away !!

Session 3 – The Aspects -
Saturday 24th January 2026
This will be a revelation as we are now looking at the innermost part of the chart and seeing how planets connect to each other by drawing lines between them known as “aspects”. This is where the Huber approach can really help us see this by use of colour - depending on the aspect – allowing us to use our intuition to see what “picture” the aspect patterns make.
You will have the opportunity to "stand inside" of your own chart by using coloured ribbons to create the aspect patterns.
Houses and Signs in Session 4
Session 4 – The Houses -
Saturday 21st February 2026
We now move from the innermost part of the chart to the outermost – the houses. Each of the planets is positioned in an area of life, or house. Here we can see how the environment has affected us and look for possible conflicts between the inner and outer worlds of our being – Nature versus Nurture. Again we will look at a highly visual representation of this using doll’s house furniture to suggest exactly which area of life each house represents and how it affects any planets within it.
We will also look at the Ascendant sign in more depth.

Age Point and Astro Tarot - Session 5
Session 5 – Age Progression / Transits / Astro Tarot - Saturday 21st March 2026
Unique to the Huber approach is the concept of the Age Point. This represents a journey through the Houses starting at the Ascendant and taking six years to traverse each house. It takes therefore 72 years to complete a full cycle and we can map the effect this has / will have upon us, particularly when we make aspects to planets in the houses on our journey, and review the psychological implications.
We will also consider a more traditional approach by looking at planetary transits focusing mainly on the outer planets ie. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, along with planetary returns and demi returns.
And lets not forget links to the Tarot - and specifically - my own design Astro Tarot cards. I've found these to be really useful if someone is particularly “stuck” and maybe needs a different perspective on where they are right now. There will be an opportunity to use these yourselves to help clarify where you are going right now.
