My Approach
I do not believe that Tarot cards should be used to merely “predict the future”, but used more as a key to areas of life where a person may benefit from guidance in moving forward.

Ultimately each of us is responsible for our own future. On first encountering Life Coaching, I was struck by the method some Life Coaches use known as “The Wheel of Life” and how similar this is to interpreting Astrological Houses. I have found that by creating a wheel representing the twelve areas of life which mirror the Astrological Houses, it is possible to bypass the usual in-depth questioning required of clients prior to working with them. Instead, it is possible to use an Astrological interpretation to identify which areas of life may be challenging for them.

For example, the card for Uranus (The Fool in standard Tarot packs) appearing in the Wheel of Life area of “Home/Family/Community” (the fourth house in Astrology) might indicate some sort of upheaval in that area of life. This would enable further discussion with you, the client, in greater depth about this to see whether this is an issue or stress that would be welcome or not. You can then make an informed decision - rather than being given a, sometimes, self fulfilling prophecy - allowing you to assess the situation yourself and move forward. The Wheel of Life in this instance then, is based on the areas of life identified by the twelve Astrological Houses.

History of the Astro Tarot Deck
This Astrology Tarot Deck is completely unique - both in design and use. It fuses together newly designed images based on earlier decks created by members of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn - founded in 1888 - who were responsible for much of what is now known as the Western Mystery tradition.

The most famous of these decks is the Rider Waite pack - arguably the first well known Tarot Deck which was not originally used for playing cards - it looked to antiquity for inspiration, drawing on the ancient teachings of the Chaldeans, early pioneers of Astrology as well as magical ritual.
Through their research, members of the Golden Dawn were able to associate the original cards with not only the signs of the Zodiac but also planets and particular planets in signs. This deck, whilst adhering to this original interpretation, also recognises the three planets discovered since the ancients in terms of Astrology ie. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, and assigns the appropriate card energy to each of these planets.

The original Tarot descriptions are given at the foot of each card but to use these from an Astrological perspective, the description at the top of the card should be the one used. Seasoned Tarot readers who are also Astrologers may find this useful as it can add depth to an interpretation but the Astrological descriptions should be used as the primary focus.

I have designed the cards using early twentieth century Art Deco and Art Nouveau styling, with the Major Arcana ie the Planets and Astrological Signs - along with the Elements (Aces) - being available in due time as digital downloads.
